Creating the Sound

In our continuing quest to optimize our room for the best recorded drum sounds possible, we've partnered with GIK Acoustics to explore the sonic differences from adding various diffusion and absorption treatments. It's amazing the difference that these low tech products can make - very often it's a much bigger difference than any one piece of new recording equipment can make!

The goal is to get the largest, most open sound possible from the room, as well as the tightest, driest sound we can, plus every step in between. Being able to quickly and easily change between these sonic environments will give you a much wider palette of sounds available for your own recordings. 

Definitely listen with headphones or proper studio monitors so you can clearly hear the differences.
